Module 1: Getting started with research: Answer the Research Question

Testing Your Question

Some assignments may require you to answer your research question by conducting a research experiment.

The first steps in conducting a successful research experiment is designing sound methodology.

  • Your methodology outlines the steps you’ll take to collect and analyze your data. This is your plan of action.
  • Your methodology will depend on the exact nature of your research question and how you plan to answer said question.
  • Work with your instructor to identify the best way to address the research questions you want to answer.
