ArtStor: Access ArtStor

Is a repository of hundreds of thousands of digital images and related data, founded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation as a non-profit initiative.

Using ArtStor is a two-step process:

1) Access the database through the Library's main website. See illustrations to the right >>

2) Then access the digital collections by clicking the correct link within Artstor. For instructions click the tab above labeled: Access ArtStor's Digital Library.

Accessing ArtStor in 3 steps

(1) To access the Library’s research databases, start from the main library website & select Databases A-Z.

What is your username & password

When you click on a database link from off-campus you will be prompted for a username & password.

The box that you will see will look like this ...

  • Your username is your name as you would type it, e.g. John Doe
  • Your password is your student ID number. (Note: if your id number starts with a zero (e.g. 0123...) try the password first WITH the zero, and if that does not work then try it without the zero.)
